Ballinger® Biopsy Forceps

The plastic injection-moulded handgrip is an ergonomic design to enable the forceps to be operated away from the eye-line of sight through the scope. A steel spring built into the handgrip ensures that the default position of the jaws is open.
The cutting jaws are 9mm long x 2.5mm wide, producing a high cell yield from a bite sample size small enough not to cause excessive bleeding or trauma.
The rigid cylindrical steel shaft is 3mm in diameter, for extra stability & control when operating the cutting jaw through a narrow rectoscope and eyepiece under direct vision.
The shaft is available in 420mm shaft length (enables biopsy through long rectoscope – up to 300mm) and 270mm shaft length (enables biopsy through short rectoscope or proctoscope).
• Universal ergonomic handgrip enables full
